About Us

Buxmont Veterinary Hospital is a small animal hospital that's been treating the animals of Bucks County and the Greater Philadelphia area since 1999. We were previously located in Langhorne, near Plawicki Park, and relocated to Yardley in September of 2025. Buxmont Vet was formerly owned and operated by the late Dr. Arline Rosenfeld and is now under the care of Dr. Nicole Sczypiorski.

Our Doctor and Owner:
Dr. Nicole Sczypiorski

DVM, CVA, CVFT, CVTP, CVCH, CTCVMP, MS

Dr. Nicole grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island in 2012. Since then she has undergone extensive training for individual certifications in veterinary acupuncture, food therapy, Tui-na, and herbal medicine. She completed her Masters in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine at the Chi University in 2020, with a focus on using massage to alleviate arthritis in companion animals, and is currently working towards certifications in animal aromatherapy, veterinary medical manipulation (chiropractic), and hypnotherapy (for the humans!). She doesn't believe there is "one-size-fits-all" when it comes to medicine, and loves integrating ancient techniques with modern practices for a truly holistic approach to wellness.

Dr. Nicole lives with her four-legged fur baby, Ares, and too many fish. She is a
certified Usui and Tibetan Reiki master and Level III Marconic Energy Practitioner.

Our Staff:
Michelle
Client Service Representative / Receptionist
Michelle was initially helping us out at the front desk as-needed but joined full-time in July 2023. Her customer service skills are exceptional, especially her ability to juggle multiple phone lines when things get crazy. Michelle does all sorts of crafty things in her spare time and has a Cairn Terrier Pomeranian cross that looks like a mini German Shepherd.

Becky
Client Service Representative / Receptionist
With a full-time job on the human medicine side, Becky used to be our weekend warrior. Now she's only able to help out our front desk on an as-needed basis. If you've ever called in the past and had the pleasure of speaking with her, you'd know what an amazing and efficient individual this woman truly is.

Rachel
Veterinary Technician
Rachel became a vet tech in 2007 after deciding that working with animals is her true passion. She joined Buxmont shortly after Dr. Nicole took over, and has a special interest in cat behavior. (She's secretly a crazy cat lady but will tell you it's no secret if you ask her outright.) Rachel shares her home with her husband and a bunch of kitties.

Donna
Veterinary Technician
Donna joined Buxmont in April 2024, and from the beginning it was obvious she was always meant to be here. She's worked at several veterinary hospitals in the past and has a unique compassion for helping people and their pets, especially when the time they have left together may be limited. Donna's "five ferals" are actually her human children (not including her husband). We've stopped counting how many animals she has.
Dani
Veterinary Assistant / Technician
Dani became part of Buxmont in September 2024. Although this is her first time working in a full-service veterinary hospital, she comes with previous animal-handling experience and is a fast learner. She's also served in the military - Thank you for your service! Dani's another not-quite-crazy cat lady, though she favors the canines (almost) equally.
